About Laura

Laura is a Partner at Berlad Graham LLP, heading residential conveyancing.

Laura has many years of experience in the property sector, including a brief time as an estate agent, so is an expert in all sides of the conveyancing transaction.

Laura has trained and practised in her home county of Cumbria and her knowledge of the local area and market has meant she always delivers great customer service to her clients and her flexible working has allowed her to make the process of buying or selling property much less stressful alongside everyday life for customers.

Laura loves her beautiful home county. She can often be found exploring the Lake District (and its public houses) and she also runs the brownie unit in her childhood home village. Laura is a big kid at heart and spent six months working in Disney World, in her year out, between completing her degree and starting her professional training.

I must say that I came to Berlad Graham with a degree of scepticism after my previous encounters with other solicitors. It quickly turned out to be a great choice. They were recommended to me by an estate agent who said that he will not get anything in return for recommending them, but he just wants to know that if he calls someone will answer. Believe or not, but unresponsive solicitors is somewhat of a common occurrence and it’s also something that I wanted to avoid. Laura is very responsive and customer friendly. What I actually liked the most was that she responds to you in a normal, not lawyer like way, which makes things more human. She’s also very helpful in explaining the practicalities of legislations in an understandable way. I absolutely loved dealing with Laura and can’t recommend enough!

After listening to other people, we were dreading buying our first home as it is known as one of the most stressful tasks in your lifetime. However, because of Laura & Rebecca, the experience was extremely relaxed and we were kept informed every step of the way. Nothing was ever too much of an ask or a 'silly' question (even though we probably asked some silly questions as a first time buyer). Our house purchase had completed within just under 6 weeks which due to COVID-19 and the market boom, is very impressive. When we collected the keys from the Estate Agents, they also commented on how quick the house purchase completed too.
