Civil Partnership concept challenge and found to be discriminatory

Many couples argued that they found the concept of marriage old fashioned and outdated in these modern times. Some also argued that the Civil Partnership law was discriminatory as only same-sex couples could enjoy that relationship. That law was challenged and subsequently changed so that from December 2019,  heterosexual couples could enter into a Civil Partnership.

Whatever method you choose to cement your relationship, you are still entering into a legal contract with another person and if that contract breaks down and you want to separate the legal consequences will be the same.
